Using some sort of imperium metre that, among other things, grant you points to spend, you can upgrade certain units using these points in ways that expand upon their current bonuses. Basically the civil tech tree is your usual research stuff, while the army traditions works like a global skilltree for all unit types. I'm gonna go wild here and maybe suggest splitting Empire's tech tree into a conventional civil tech tree and a army traditions skilltree that I thought up a while ago. Of course that's just Bretonnia being exceptional, a lot of tech trees feature things like bonus XP to such and such unit and income to ports or whatever. With the way CA is doing Bretonnia's tech tree it's become more like a sidebar upgrade feature. GUNPOWDER: Missile, Artillery and Warmachines stats and missile damage, several AP damage focused techs, income buffs to industry buildings and to specific resources sites, recruitment cost, rank and unkeep for the related units. STEEL: Infantry, cavalry and Lords/Empire Captains stats buffs, armour buffs, recruitment rank and unkeep, New Lords ranks, AP melee damage, supplies lines cost reduction, maybe an army ability unlockable? Military focus techs. This would lead to 3 starting sections in the tech tree:įAITH: In this the technologies will focus on the public order, the untainted bonuses, the Wizards, Warrior Priest, and Witch hunter rank upgrades and stas moddifiers, related buildings construction cost, that kind of thing. So i would think of a tree based on the Magnus the Pious's phrase: "Three things make the Empire great: Faith, Steel, and Gunpowder". Seeing Brettonia get an update makes me think we can hope for other factions that can get reworks to be adreesed in future patches. Hi all, i would like to make a suggestion for an empire rework of his tech tree, which right now follow no order or theme that make it feel like your're playing as the empire. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.848 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.Raise additional armies as able and send them across the sea to help out. Sack poorly defended cities for 5-10k gold, raze them for your Gods, and keep on moving. You can start in the empire, or go over to brettonia, or try going through kislev (though they are usually a bit strong early on). You then need to start your main job in the game, which is to do massive amounts of raiding and sacking cities. This will give you some more income, in the form of post-battle loot and some occasional income from new lands. The first 20-30 turns should be spent defeating the other northern factions in battles and confederating their armies after defeating their leaders in combat. I can see some substantial income boosters from sacking in the tech tree but for the first 20-30 turns how am I supposed to get things going? just deal with having about half the income I would have as literally any other race until I get those techs going, and the settlements i defeat actually have enough buildings to provide a decent income? Originally posted by wrought82:So just started a Norsca campaign and I'm struggling - there's no income, The tip said to play aggreively because there wouldnt be a lot of income from settlements so I expected my sacking to give a lot of gold like Chaos but if there is a bonus its tiny.
